My Fight with Cancer

Hey wine club friends!

Our club is about more than just wine; it's about community-building. And, like any community, we share our ups and downs. Today, I wanted to open up about a personal challenge I've been facing since March 15th.

I've been battling Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia, a rare blood cancer. It's been quite the journey, with six rounds of chemo planned. The first three went smoothly, but the fourth threw me a curveball.

I've spent many weeks recovering in hospitals, but I'm happy to say I'm finally heading home soon. It's been tough, but I'm keeping a positive attitude, thanks to the fantastic support from my family and friends.

There's still a road ahead, including dealing with an infection and eventually having back surgery. Life is full of unexpected twists and turns. And with remission in sight, I'm determined to keep fighting.

Cancer is a formidable opponent, but it won't stop me from enjoying simple pleasures like good company and (of course) the occasional glass of wine.

I'm always here to chat if you have any questions. Feel free to reach out on Facebook or Messenger anytime.

Cheers to friendship and perseverance!
