THE VIBE: CONNECT, BELONG & THRIVE
Breathe it in! We are finally stepping out for our first Indoor/Outdoor/Patio event of the year gathered at the oasis-like home of Sally S. and Brian S. in the Traders Point 46278 area. The air is fresh, the setting is beautiful, and our Intentionally Welcoming spirit is in full bloom.
The "Can’t-Miss" Ticket: This has become the must-attend party for our queer community. Because we are gathered in a private home, space is strictly limited to ensure an authentic connection. Due to the venue's private nature, a sell-out is expected.
Hassle-Free Access: We’ve made it as easy as possible for you to get out of the house and into the celebration! The venue is easy to find and features PLENTY OF EASY PARKING directly at the home. Whether you’re a long-time member or a first-timer, simply follow the laughter, and you'll fit right in.
MEET THE HOSTS
Sally and Brian Shapiro are opening their beautiful home to create a healthy space where you can network and grow your circle. While they have been dedicated Present Sponsors of the Diversity Wine Club for many years, this evening marks their very first time hosting us!
As the owners of the iconic Shapiro’s Delicatessen, they understand the true meaning of hospitality and community. It’s the perfect night to stretch your legs, check in on your friends, and help us thank the Shapiros for their long-standing support as we build a community that cares for one another.
EVERYONE IS WELCOME: NEW FRIENDS & OLD FACES
Whether you are a regular fixture at our events or it’s been a few years since we’ve seen your face, there is a spot on the couch waiting for you. We know that walking into a room with a crowd can feel like a leap, but we specialize in the soft landing.
First-Timers: Look for our "Intentional Welcome" volunteers! We’ll make sure you aren't standing in a corner—unless it’s to grab a snack. We’ll introduce you to a few friendly regulars to get the conversation flowing.
The "Long-Time-No-See" Crew: Life happens, and schedules get busy—we get it! There is zero judgment here, only excitement to have you back. Consider this your official "Welcome Home" party.
Coming Solo? You aren't alone. A significant portion of our guests arrive solo and leave with a group text full of new friends.
No matter how long you’ve been away, you belong here. Come as you are, and let us do the rest.
THEME & THREADS: DRESS TO CONNECT
Much like school spirit week, wear your "Diversity Spirit." This means rocking your best Pride colors, rainbow accessories, or gear that represents your personal community/identity. The dress code is Upscale but Casual—bring a light layer just in case the evening breeze kicks up.
The Spirit of the Early Bird
The Reward: The first 50 guests who arrive rocking their Diversity Spirit will receive a piece of Homecoming swag to kick off the festivities! Claim your reward and help us set the tone for the evening.
The Style Rescue Gag: Forget your Pride gear? Our Style Rescue Team will be at the door with a hilarious gag gift to ensure you are Spirit-filled and part of the community sea of color for the rest of the night.
The Spirit Showdown: Bring your A-game for some serious bragging rights! During the evening, we will host a live winner-by-applause contest to crown the most spirited guest in the room. Will you be the one to claim the community’s roar?
ARTISAN EATS & YOUR FAVORITE POUR
Our flavor ensemble is the gold standard of club favorites—and the rule of thumb is simple: If Costco sells it, it will be there! We are orchestrating a massive spread designed to keep the party high-energy and your palate satisfied.
The "Homecoming" Spread Includes:
Cocktail Cucumbers
Mini Sweet Peppers
Kirkland Signature Organic Roasted Pine Nut Hummus
Stacy's Organic Simply Naked Pita Chips
Join the Ritual: The pitch-in is all you need to bring! Since the club provides a full, premium food spread and chilled Ice Mountain Spring Water, we ask that every guest contribute to our communal table. To keep the "library of pours" and flavors diverse, please bring ONE of the following:
A $15 bottle of wine (traditional or non-alcoholic) or
A premium non-alcoholic drink (botanical elixirs, craft sodas, or sparkling ciders) or
A homemade dish (for our gourmet cooks who prefer to share a signature creation) or
A $10 charity donation (if you arrive empty-handed, simply drop a tenner into the donation box).
This community contribution ensures a massive, rotating selection of tastes for everyone to enjoy!
COMMUNITY MATTERS
The Diversity Wine Club is more than just a social gathering; it is a space where we grow together. We are incredibly honored to welcome Alan Witchey, CEO of Damien Center, to our Community Matters Speaker Series.
Alan brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep passion for community building. During this fifteen-minute session, you will hear directly from a leader dedicated to holistic wellness and the health of our city.
WE GIVE BACK: PURPOSE-DRIVEN IMPACT
In today’s climate, ensuring our community has access to vital HIV/AIDS care and prevention resources is more important than ever. The Diversity Wine Club is more than a social circle; we are a support system.
The "No-Pressure" Promise: Leave your checkbook at home! We believe in purpose-driven impact without the "pitch." Absolutely no fundraising is allowed at the party. We want you to focus entirely on connection and community. Your $10 ticket is your donation—once you’re through the door, your only job is to Connect & Belong.
Your attendance is the engine of change:
Direct Financial Power: Proceeds from this Event benefit our Charity Partnership with the Damien Center. This simple act helps bridge the funding gap, ensuring their mission stays solvent and their vital care stays accessible.
Sustaining the Health of Indy: You are ensuring that Indianapolis remains a healthy, safe, and thriving home for everyone.
Don't just join a party—join a movement to keep our community healthy. Your presence is the most powerful support the Damien Center could ask for.
POWERED BY THE COMMUNITY
An event of this scale is curated through the collective energy, passion, and time of nearly 40 dedicated individuals. We are honored to recognize the key leadership and vital partners powering our community.
